These Terms and Conditions govern the use of this learning platform and the courses provided through it. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.

We provide online training courses for individuals and organisations, including dementia awareness training for people working across health and social care.

2. Who can use the platform

  • You must be 18 years or older to use this platform
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details
  • You must not share your account with others

By using this platform, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.

3. Learner accounts

  • Each learner must have their own individual account
  • You are responsible for ensuring that your name is entered correctly, as this will be used on certificates
  • We are not responsible for certificates issued with incorrect details due to inaccurate information provided by the learner

4. Course access and use

Access to courses may be provided:

  • Directly by you as an individual, or
  • Through an organisation that has purchased or assigned the training

Additional terms:

  • Course access is granted for the duration specified at enrolment or purchase
  • You must not copy, share, resell, or distribute course materials without written permission

5. Learning progress and assessments

We track learning activity including:

  • Lesson completion and timestamps
  • Video viewing progress
  • Assessment attempts and scores
  • Course completion status
  • Time spent on lessons and courses

Completion of all required lessons and assessments is necessary to be eligible for certification. Assessment results are recorded as part of your learning record.

6. Certificates

  • Certificates are issued only when course completion requirements are met
  • Certificates are issued in the learner's name as provided in their account
  • Certificates may include an expiry date, where applicable
  • We reserve the right to withhold or withdraw certificates if misuse, fraud, or breach of these Terms is identified

7. Certificate verification

  • All certificates include a unique certificate number
  • We provide a certificate verification service to confirm authenticity
  • Verification displays limited information only:
    • Learner name
    • Course name
    • Date passed
    • Certificate expiry date (if applicable)

Verification is provided to support employers, regulators, and third parties in confirming genuine certification.

8. Organisational training

Where training is provided through an organisation:

The enrolling organisation may have access to learner records, including:

  • Course completion status
  • Lesson progress and timestamps
  • Assessment results
  • Certificates awarded
  • Time spent on courses

This access is provided for workforce training, compliance, and quality assurance purposes.

Learners are made aware of the organisation they are enrolled under.

9. Payments and refunds

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

All prices displayed include VAT at the applicable rate. We are VAT registered under number GB 466387156.

14-day cooling-off period

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days for a full refund.

However, by starting a course, you expressly agree that the service begins immediately and you acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once you have completed more than 10% of the course content.

Refund policy:

  • Full refund available within 14 days if you have completed 10% or less of the course
  • No refunds available if you have completed more than 10% of the course

10. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use the platform for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data
  • Disrupt or interfere with platform operation
  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute course content without permission
  • Misrepresent certification status or use certificates fraudulently
  • Share your account credentials with others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached.

11. Intellectual property

  • All course content, materials, videos, text, and assessments are owned by or licensed to us
  • Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership rights in the content
  • You may use the content only for your personal learning or authorised workplace training
  • Unauthorised copying, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited

12. Availability and changes

  • We aim to keep the platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
  • We may update, improve, or modify the platform or courses from time to time
  • We may suspend access temporarily for maintenance or technical reasons
  • We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes where possible

13. Educational disclaimer

  • Our courses are educational and awareness-based
  • They do not replace professional clinical training, diagnosis, or medical advice
  • You are responsible for ensuring the training meets your professional or organisational requirements
  • We do not guarantee that course completion will meet all regulatory, professional, or employer requirements

14. Data protection

Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the platform, you acknowledge how your data is processed as described in that policy.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the platform if:

  • These Terms are breached
  • False or misleading information is provided
  • Certificates are misused or misrepresented
  • Use of the platform creates legal or security risk
  • Payment obligations are not met

Where possible, we will act proportionately and provide notice before termination.

16. Third-party links

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites, resources, or services that are not owned or controlled by us.

We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. We do not warrant the offerings of any of these entities or their websites. You acknowledge and agree that we shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused by or in connection with your use of any such third-party content, goods, or services.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
  • We do not guarantee that completion of a course will meet all regulatory, professional, or employer requirements
  • Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant course

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully limited or excluded.

18. Force majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, pandemics, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labour, or materials.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed modified to the extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page and take effect when posted. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
