Dementia Care in Practice - face-to-face workshops

Commissioned team training at your venue for health and social care staff with basic dementia knowledge. No formal tier prerequisite is required. These specialist one-day workshops are not additional tiers or online courses.

Dementia Care in Practice: Frailty, Pain & End-of-Life Care

  • Understanding frailty and recognising pain in dementia
  • Supports best practice in palliative and end-of-life care

An interactive one-day workshop giving participants practical knowledge and confidence to understand frailty and pain in people living with dementia and how these can affect their health, comfort and quality of life. Participants explore how to recognise changing needs, identify and assess pain, and use evidence-based approaches to support high-quality, person-centred care, including compassionate palliative and end-of-life care.

Dementia Care in Practice: Behaviour, Intimacy & Sexuality

  • One-day interactive workshop
  • Understanding behaviour, distress, intimacy and relationships in dementia
  • Supports positive, compassionate and person-centred approaches

An interactive one-day workshop giving participants practical knowledge and confidence to understand behaviour as communication and respond to distress in dementia care. Participants explore Positive Behaviour Support and practical communication approaches, alongside intimacy, sexuality and relationships, considering how to support individual rights, choice and dignity while maintaining safeguarding and professional responsibilities.
